Week 19 & 20 2024

 Hello!

Exciting news...  Bistro Rigaud (formerly known as Au Four de la Rive) is opening to the public for only five nights this summer and these will be limited to only 30 covers each night, so quite exclusive I guess.

The first date for your dairy is Wednesday 5 June.

They have an amazing, creative chef, called Oliver who was at several top notch London restaurants, including Bocco di Lupo and with Ottolenghi in both Nopi and in the development kitchens. He's got lots of amazing ideas and experience and will run a series of pop up nights on the river, pairing each night with a different wine producing chateau.

So, do you have friends who love to wine and dine on the riverside? This is the perfect way to do just that.  Contact Bistro@chateaurigaud.co.uk to reserve your table.

Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions over the upcoming weeks, seems the sun is back, so get out and about and enjoy yourselves,

Best wishes,
Helen,

Week 17 & 18 2024

 Hello!

We have plenty of  bank holidays coming up, so I've tried to include all the events.  If you know of anything coming up, please send the info and I'll do an update next week!

Meanwhile, if you are wondering if now is the right time to plant out your young seedlings, France has the Saints on its side - Les Saints de Glace... ignore them at your peril...😉

Whatever you do this week (and the next) in the Gironde and Dordogne, have a great week.

Best wishes,
Helen

Week 16 2024

 Hello!

Last week it was the wisteria, this week the roses have arrived and their scent is heavenly.

Perfect school holiday weather is set for the weekend, and it's the brocante in Rauzan, worth it for a couple of hours browsing, you might even find that hidden gem.

Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions this week, have a great time.

Best wishes,
Helen

Contact me if you'd like to get creative with clay.  These were made by grandmother and granddaughter combos.

The clay changes from grey to white in the kiln.  I never stop being enchanted by the clay.
