Week 25 2025
Coming up at on
21 June is the Fete de la Music
traditionally held in France on midsummer’s day. It all began in 1982 when the then Minister
of Culture Jack Lang decided to revive the pagan Festival of St Jean. He invited musicians from all walks of life
to join together and give free concerts.
Over 30 years later the event has spread throughout the world.
There will be a
concert near you to enjoy this coming weekend - enjoy!
Whatever you do
in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a good time.
Best wishes,
Helen
Thank you for everyone who came and said Hello at the Festival de Moutom Ivre last weekend. It was a soggy start to the morning, but by midday the sun was out and it was a perfect moment for my favourite demonstration. Thank you CJ for the great photos of 'Shaun'!

Week 23 2025
Hello!
Hear ye, hear ye, dear Sauveterriennes and Sauveterriens!
After the great success of our last two festive jousts, Sauveterre-de-Guyenne town council invites you to the 3ᵉ edition of the Medieval Festival!
Join us on Sunday 8 June, from 10am, on the Place de la République to feast together on this day of jubilation, where traditions and revelry will transport you to the heart of ancient times!
Get ready to travel back in time to the knights, troubadours and craftsmen of yesteryear!
And I'll be there in Medieval get-up, with some sticky red clay and a coiling activity. Come on over and say Hello. See the full programme here https://www.sauveterre-de-guyenne.fr/fete-medievale/
Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time.
Best wishes,
Helen

And finally...
Next weekend is Father's Day, and we're celebrating in the pottery studio. Bring your Dad and work together to make a sports themed 'vide-poche' (I've never found a satisfactory English translation for that word)
