Week 27 2016

Hello!

It’s only a few weeks away until the Battle of Castillon re-opens for the new season. Rehearsals are underway and this year there have been great changes.  Under a new Association, the Battle has been given a facelift.  Check out the office next to the Mairie in Castillon (now merged with the Tourist Office)

Tickets are available from the Office, or on the internet. http://www.batailledecastillon.com/ The first show is on 15th July, continuing each weekend until 20 August.  There is only one act now, with a performance length of 90 minutes.
visit the Office or check out the web site.

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great week.

Best wishes,
Helen

Week 26 2016

Hello!

I love pottery and ceramics, so it was lovely to be walking round Castelmoron d’Albret in the sunshine at the weekend admiring all the lovely stands.

It’s a beautiful village with a very pretty little tea shop at the top of the village behind the pottery shop.  Even if there’s no pottery market, it’s worth a visit to wander through the little lanes.

Let’s hope the summer has arrived at last.  Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time.
Best wishes,
Helen
