Week 36 2016

Hello!

The sun continues to shine!  This weekend Cotes de Castillon has their weekend of Chateau Portes Ouvertes.  A great selection of wineries are open to visit, many with additional exhibitions, gourmet tastings, quad biking and open gardens.

The marche gourmande at Chateau Pitray is worth a look. Last year there was live music and a range of wines to taste.
Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time.
Best wishes,
Helen

And finally...

The 11th edition of the Franco-British Week in Pays Foyen past in glorious weather, with very appreciative comments from all of the many participants who enjoyed an incredibly wide range of events.  From the picnic and petanque, where the British visitors vanquished Porte Ste. Foy, to the incredible art exhibition in Salle Clarisse Briand.  Enjoying fine wines at Cave Laregnere and the quiz night in Pineuilh.  The wonderful atmosphere of Le Moulin de Moustelat , Chateau Carbonneau and Le Jardin St. Avit.  The cinema, the voice of James Anderson, flying over Pays Foyen, and the numerous other events for all tastes.

We would like to know which events gave you the most pleasure and also your ideas for FBW 2017.  Please let us have all your ideas, by e-mail to ronald.marsh@wanadoo.fr

Very many thanks,

Ron.

Week 34 2016

Hello!

Wow! We saw the Battle in all its glorious night time splendor!  A great show, the lighting effects are super and the performances were excellent.  It really is a great re-make of the classic.  Elements of the previous show remain and a new take on the story doesn't disappoint.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's not too late... 2 performances remain for this weekend.  Many thanks to CD for her great photos.

For those of you who have already been, there's plenty of other things to do in the Dordogne and Gironde regions this week.  Have a great time.

Best wishes,
Helen
