Week 20 2023

 Hello!

There's another jour ferie coming up... this one is L'ascension and it always falls on a Thursday because it's 10 days before Pentecost Sunday.  It marks the day that Jesus ascended to heaven following his crucifixion and resurrection, according to Christian belief. Please be aware that public services and many shops will be closed and as it's followed by a Friday, many businesses take the opportunity to 'faire le pont' so watch out for Friday too!

It's been a while since I made the sharing plates, but they're back in production.  Nice and flat and perfect for sharing cakes, tarts, pizzas, and anything else that demands some precision slicing!

Find them in the Maison des Artisans in Sauveterre de Guyenne.

Week 19 2023

 Hello!

Last week we went to see the Banksy exhibition in Libourne.  It's a free event, and it is a collection of  Banksy memorabilia, photos, music and posters connected to his work.  I hadn't realised the full extent of his work past the 'Red Balloon'.

 

Watch out for the rats...

If you get a chance to drop in. it's running until 14th May in the Manege des Casernes just off Avenue Tourney.  (The new road system threw me, can't remember when I was last there, but the 'Band Stand Roundabout' has been remodeled)

Week 18 2023

 Hello!

I'm looking forward to taking part in the Foire aux Fleurs in Monsegur on Monday (another bank holiday).

There will be a whole host of stands inside La Halle and also spreading through the village, pick up your plants for the garden, learn about the plants growing in the wild, and even make your own plant marker from clay. There's plenty going on through the day, come and say Hello if you're passing by. (I'll be selling my mosquito spiral stands too)
