Week 27 2016

Hello!

It’s only a few weeks away until the Battle of Castillon re-opens for the new season. Rehearsals are underway and this year there have been great changes.  Under a new Association, the Battle has been given a facelift.  Check out the office next to the Mairie in Castillon (now merged with the Tourist Office)

Tickets are available from the Office, or on the internet. http://www.batailledecastillon.com/ The first show is on 15^th July, continuing each weekend until 20 August.  There is only one act now, with a performance length of 90 minutes.

2 July : Sardinade in Lamothe Montravel, Reservations recommended.  Don’t worry if Sardines are not your favourite, they have another less fishy option.

2 July : Fete de l’Ete in Castillon at the Pelouse (the waterfront by the camping)

2 July 21h : Nuit des Eglises at the church in Saint Meard de Gurcon

2 – 3 July : Foire Artisanale d’Ete at the Chateau de Suassignac (and my favourite potter Jo McKinnon will be there)

2 – 3 July : Painting exhibition by local artist Karl Stelljes, Vernissage Saturday at 18h.
