Week 8 2022

 Hello!

For those of you who love to roar of  motor engine and the thrill of racing cars, then this weekend is for you with the return of the 8th Bordeaux Classics Car Rally.  Delayed from last year, the drivers will be ready to race!  You can see all the cars together in the centre of Castillon in the morning as they get ready to set off for the time trials.

The route circles around to the south of Castillon this year.

Whatever you do this week in the Castillon, Gironde and  Dordogne regions, keep safe and well and have a great time!

Hello!

Can spring be around the corner?  There have been plenty of people reporting the cranes flying over head, heading back north to their summer homes.

The garden too, is slowly waking up, splashes of colour peeping out through the undergrowth.

It's always a challenge to find activities and events at this time of year, so, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have news of an event and I shall include it in the weekly newsletter.

Week 6 2022

 Hello!

There is a new gallery opening up in Monsegur, and what a coup they have for their opening artist!

Claude Viseux is a well known artist : friend of Cesar, Max Ernst, Tinguely and Picasso. His works are in big museums all over the word. 

The lithographs exhibited in Monségur have been printed by Alphonse Chave the print maker of Picasso in Vence. It's very unusual to have such an artist in a small village.

Week 5 2022

I do believe that spring may be springing! Yes, I know it's just the beginning of February, but these little fellows have braved the weather to pop up in the garden.

And my friend reported a daffodil or 2 too.

Every Friday from 6:30PM at Château La Tourbeille in Juillac will be doing takeaways of Their Famous Fresh Fish and Chips, the Butcher's burger and chips their Scrummy Thai Salad with panko shrimps all mains are priced at 15€ , along with some of their homemade desserts such Sticky Toffee Pudding, Lime Cheesecake or apple strudel priced at 3€
