Hello!

The sun shone all weekend in Rauzan at the spring Brocante.  I love the browsing and finding a potential bargain!







This weekend is Easter, plenty of egg hunts round and about and both Ste Foy and Duras are holding events and Castillon has the huge annual traveling fun fair which takes over the whole of the village centre.

Whatever you do over the Easter weekend, have a great time in the Gironde and Dordogne regions.

15 - 16 April : Vide Grenier in Coutras

15 - 16 - 17 April : 9 Teams compete in the Baseball Tournament over the Easter Weekend.  Free entry in Pineuilh.

 

15 - 16 - 17 April : Easter Weekend in Duras including the world of Chocolate!   All my dreams come true!  Held at the Maison Guinguet in Duras.

15 - 16 - 17 April : Easter over the weekend at Chateau Siaurac, Neac.  Activities and games for all the family.  See more here

 

15 -16 - 17 April : Easter Fair in Castillon.  Aproach the village with caution!  The fun fair stretches from the train station, through the village to the river.  On Monday the fun fair coincides with the weekly farmers' market, so be aware, the stone bridge may well be closed.

16 April : Flower market and Vide Grenier in Duras.  Chocolate and vide grenier... can Duras get any more tempting?

week 14 2017

Hello!

Last week my Alistair Sawday's inspector hat took me up to Brantome in the Perigord Vert (so called because of all the green forests and meadows).

Brantome is a beautiful small town, famous for the Abbey.  It is sometimes referred to as the 'Venice of Dordogne' which is a slight exaggeration, but the town is surrounded by water and there is a unique bridge with a corner which crosses the river and the weir.

It was a miserable wet day, but I was enchanted enough to want to  go back again on a sunny day.

I'm looking forward to the Rauzan brocante this weekend, come and say 'Hello' if you see me rifling through the collections!

Whatever you do this week, have a lovely time in the Gironde and Dordogne regions.
