Hello!
A disappointing event last week, as I turned into my house after work there were noticeable absences on my terrace. Missing, taken in full daylight, my garden table and chairs and a cute bench.
After a report to the police and a call to the Mayor, I was in no doubt that I won't be getting them back. So sad, the bench had been in the garden for over 10 years and the table and chairs were a random combination of second hand (maybe third hand) and gifted pieces. Only valuable to me, oh, and a place for a cat to perch.
Maybe you'll see them at a vide grenier...
Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a good week, and keep a look out for garden furniture bandits.

And finally...
We're making oyas on Saturday 10 May in the pottery workshop. These useful pottery pieces work as slow watering systems for your plants in the home or the garden. The single fired bodies are solid, but porous, allowing the water to slowly sink into the soil. The covers are glazed and decorated with an insect finial. Come and make one for your home - your plants will thank you.
