I took down my Christmas trees and all the decorations this week and now our house looks a little bare. Not to worry though as the sales start this week - so there's something to look forward to!!

We took a trip out to the Marche des Puces in Rauzan yesterday, I didn't find anything this time, but there's plenty of potential, and it's something different for a wintery Sunday. We'll certainly go back again.
The beginning of the year seems to have brought with it changes in legislation, thank you to friends who have pointed them out. See below for information about pet travel and radar controls in cars, these include Satnav (or Satnag as they are called in our home!) systems.
The blog page link seems to be working out well and it means I can update information throughout the week as it comes along. There is a new page too (a work in progress) with the fitness information and links.

From 4 January 2012 it has been illegal to have any device in your car that warns of radar controls, whether fixed or mobile.

There is a difference between “danger areas”; « zones dangereuses »; and radars: it is legal to have a device which warns of “danger areas” which can be comparable to the old “accident black spots” in the UK, roads with sharp bends, hidden junctions etc. They are not necessarily controlled by speed cameras, although many are.
With regard to existing GPS systems that have the system of radar detection, the manufacturers have been warned of the new law and should, mostly, be able to update the units.
