Hello!
This is the third time I’ve been thwarted in my efforts to
see the balloons in St Emilion. Setting
the alarm for ‘extremely early’ and heading off to St Emilion on Saturday
morning I followed the convoy up to the chateau just north of the village. Unfortunately the wind was too strong and
after a couple of tester party balloons were filled with helium and set free,
the morning flights were cancelled.
But I do have this photo from the Tourisme Saint-Emilion Facebook
page where you can also see other beautiful photos from the morning when the
balloons did take off.
Notjustfortheholidays is taking a holiday, so this week I
have 2 weeks of events combined. If you
have an event you would like to share, please add it as a comment at the bottom

Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions over the
