Week 36 2018

Hello!

I had a lovely surprise as I drove out the other morning!  In the fields behind our house a hot air balloon was landing!  The same balloon that we flew in last year... wonderful memories came flooding back.

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time and make some wonderful memories!

7 September : Vernissage for an exhibition at the Espace Tourism et Vins in Pineuilh featuring Avril.

7 - 8 - 9 September the Festival Vino Voce, the 5th Festival Vino Voce in St Emilion. On the agenda: shows, meetings, workshops, screenings, etc. Have a look on the website and discover the events.

Saturday 8 September

8 September : Big Ed and the Red Balls in Concert at the Guinguette du Moulon

8 September : It's the weekend of the Mascaret - the great high tide that sweeps up the Gironde estuary forming a giant wave.  See it best in St Pardon where surfers and kayakers come from miles around to surf the wave.

8 September : Caravanhotes Festival in Villefranche de Lonchat.

8 September : Les Nocturnes de la Bastide in Libourne

8 - 9 September : Portes Ouvertes in Castillon.  Discover the delicious wines of Cotes du Castillon throughout the weekend and on Sunday Chateau de Pitray hosts a day of events including pony rides and a marche gourmande.

Sunday 9 September

9 September : 2eme Eco Fete in Flaujagues.  Including Marche Gourmande at Midday and a Bal Trad at 17h.

9 September : Vide Grenier in Grezillac at the Chateau de Mouchac

9 September : Brocante and Vide Grenier in Izon

9 September : Vide grenier and Fete du Village in Francs

9 September : Vide grenier d'autonne in Le Fleix

9 September : weekly Vide grenier in Libourne

9 September : Vide grenier in Moulin Neuf

9 September : Vide Grenier and Brocante in Saint Pey d'Armens

9 September : Brocante, vide grenier des vendanges and Marche gourmande in Sainte Florence

If you are not a native French-speaker and live in Flaujagues or its surrounding villages ...
If you want to be able to converse with your French neighbors ...
Or if, simply, you would like to get by a little more fluently in everyday life situations in your adopted country…
French classes for non-French speakers are proposed by La Flaujaguaise.

Claudine will receive all interested parties individually on 24th September, in order to assess each person's level of French.
