Hello!
This week I've been fascinated by the wrapping up of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
An amazing project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, L'Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped, a temporary artwork for Paris, will be on view for 16 days from Saturday, September 18 to Sunday, October 3, 2021. The project will be realized in partnership with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and in coordination with the City of Paris. It also receives the support of the Centre Pompidou. The Arc de Triomphe will be wrapped in 25,000 square meters of recyclable polypropylene fabric in silvery blue, and with 3,000 meters of red rope.
Maybe next stop the bridge at Castillon...

Coming up...
And finally...
Coming up on Sunday 26 September the long awaited 4th Rencontre des Savoir-Faire in Sauveterre. It was cancelled last year due to Covid restrictions, but this year, we're full steam ahead (with sanitary protocols in place)
Come and see a host of artists and artisans demonstrate their skills. Both inside the Maison des Artisans and outside in the square, artists will be at work. Watch spinning and weaving, see basket making, and in the afternoon Julia will light the still to distillate the essence from plants. Plus a wood-turner...mosaic making...exhibitions...food trucks...concerts... and don't forget crepes whilst you wait... and a bar!
I'll be throwing pots in the morning to celebrate one year in the studio. Come and say Hello - you're always welcome!
