Have you seen the Battle of Castillon yet? It still has 3 weekends to run.
Before the show, there's the Village d'Eleanor to visit, with mini shows and demonstrations, food stands, market stalls, wine tasting and medieval activities.
Take a trip up to Belves de Castillon (almost the exact spot of the battle) and take in the amazing evening's entertainment.
Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time, the sun will be back next week, meanwhile, our gardens thrive!

And finally...
Opening the kiln is always a nervous moment. Even more so when it's full of vases from the summer workshops. So far, so good, but we still have the glazing to do.
If you would like to make a vase decorated with flower and leaf prints, drop me a message - 06 30 89 85 36. There's still availability in August.
I agree Helen the French don't seem to publices what's on. E.g. the Maison de Vin in Duras do wine tastings and nibbles (3 local vineyards each Wednesday ); signs outside NON, notices in the tourist office NON. Such a shame.
