I love the sunshine, and the views over the river are stunning.

Many thanks to Barry and his photos of the Gerbebaude at Font-Vidal, I missed out on a delicious pig roast there.

This weekend brings the big Brocante at Rauzan, be prepared to haggle, it's part of the fun.

6 – 16 October : EVENTO 2011, ART FOR AN URBAN RE-EVOLUTION:
THREE EXHIBITIONS, TWO SITES AND MANY EVENTS AT THE HEART OF THE CITY OF BORDEAUX

Every two years, EVENTO offers international artists an chance to cast a new eye over the city, explore it and turn it into an atypical place of artistic experimentation. This 2011 festival is thus bringing together famous and emerging figures, for a free event that is demanding, generous, multicultural, and designed for all kinds of public keen to discover and share.
Original works, collective experiments, performances, concerts, installations, exhibitions and games for the citizenry will all occupy the city’s public places and its museums, for meetings aimed at reinventing the city and finding new ways of living together.

Saturday 8 October

8 October 10h: We are having an introduction day for people who would like to get to know the new Golf at St Meard.
We will start at 10 with a few balls on the driving range, just to get our swing going and then on to the 9 holes course.
People should bring their own picnic and if they want to they can play again in the afternoon.
The price is 15€ and the 'aperitif' is offered at the end of the day by the vignoble de MONTRAVEL.
