Hello!
Just don’t ask about the melon d’espagne jam…
It may be cold outside, but there are little splashes of colour creeping into the garden.
Whatever you do this week, Have a great time in the Gironde
and Dordogne regions.
Best wishes,

Week 6 2015
A great week for VO films in Libourne.
Monday 2 February
The Catholic holiday of Candlemas, on 2 February, is a feast
to commemorate the purification of the Virgin Mary and the presentation of baby
Jesus. In France, this holiday is
called la Chandeleur, Fête de la Lumière, or jour des crêpes.
Not only do the French eat a lot of crêpes on Chandeleur, but they also do a bit of fortune telling while making them. It is traditional to hold a coin in your writing hand and a crêpe pan in the other, and flip the crêpe into the air. If you manage to catch the crêpe in the pan, your family will be prosperous for the rest of the year. There is also a train of thought that suggests you should keep this well flipped pancake on the top of the wardrobe for the year to doubly ensure good fortune…

The Theory of Everything is the story of the most
brilliant and celebrated physicist of our time, Stephen Hawking, and Jane Wilde
the arts student he fell in love with whilst studying at Cambridge in the
1960s. Little was expected from Stephen Hawking, a bright but shiftless student
of cosmology, given just two years to live following the diagnosis of a fatal
illness at 21 years of age. He became galvanized, however, by the love of
fellow Cambridge student, Jane Wilde, and he went on to be called the successor
to Einstein, as well as a husband and father to their three children. Over the
course of their marriage as Stephen's body collapsed and his academic renown
soared, fault lines were exposed that tested the lineaments of their
relationship and dramatically altered the course of both of their lives.
Starring Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones and Emily Watson
