Week 20 1015

Hello!

Acacia donuts
I always feel that the open day at Chateau de Bonhoste heralds the arrival of summer and this year was no disappointment.  There really were hundreds of people celebrating the delicious local foods and drinks.

There were carriage rides through the vines, music from the Bandas and a jazz group, and the most seasonal of all desserts – acacia donuts.

I’m starting to collect dates for night markets in the Dordogne and Gironde regions this summer, so if your village is holding one, or you have a favourite you’d like to recommend, please don’t hesitate to let me know at the address below.

Best wishes for a good week – watch out for the ‘pont’,

Helen
