Week 42 2017

Hello!
This week Castillon is participating in the worldwide campaign to highlight breast cancer awareness, advising on how to have checks and where to go.

There have been Pink October events throughout the region and Castillon has dressed up the stone bridge and the Mairie to drive the message home... have you had a scan recently?  If not, why not?

This Saturday 14th October, there is a Salon des Creatrices at the Centre Culturel in Castillon.  (Not so easy to find... it's next door to the Intermarche, on the oposite corner of the block from the post office and just across from the brightly graffiti decorated old swimming pool building).

I'll be there along with lots of other women Creatrices displaying and demonstrating the arts and crafts that we fill our spare time with.  Please come along, support a worthy cause, and say 'Hello!' I'll look forward to seeing you there.

11 October : Breast Cancer Awareness events in Castillon include a Fencing demonstration at 14h and at 16h A March Rose(Pink Walk) in the village centre by the Salle Cascante.


Thursday 12 October

12 October : Soiree Quiz and dinner at the Gensake in Gensak, teams of 2 - 6 people,  Fish and Chip Menu and all proceeds to SWAT - South West Animal Team

12 October 20h45 : The Party is showing in VO at La Breche in Ste Foy
A comedy wrapped around a tragedy. It starts as a celebration and ends with blood on the floor. Starring Kirsten Scott Thomas, Timothy Spall, and Patricia Clarkson

12 - 15 October : Montgolfiades de St Emilion.  This is the 7th Balloon Festival!  Weather permitting there should be up to 15 hot air balloons each morning and evening through the festival.  There are also kite workshops at 14h Saturday and Sunday, free with a reservation 05 57 55 28 28
