The Gensac Summer Music Festival enters its 31st year of performances. Artistic Director Scott Sandmeier has gathered musicians of international renown for an exceptional program of “Grand Concerts” and “Concerts Découvertes.”
Several villages in Gironde will open their churches to present the highly acclaimed “Concerts Découvertes”: Mozart - Divertimento en ré, KV 136 ; Glière - Intermezzo et tarentelle pour contrebasse et quatuor à cordes avec soliste Stanislas Kuchinski ; Rachmaninov - Romance et scherzo ; Grieg - Quatuor à cordes en sol mineur.

The “Grands Concerts” present a brilliant program of musical jewels with soloists Clara Pouvreau and Pierre Hamel : Mozart Symphonie no. 10 en sol majeur, KV 74 ; Haydn Concerto pour violoncelle en ré majeur, (soloist Clara Pouvreau) ; Schubert Polonaise pour violon et orchestre, D. 580 (soloist Pierre Hamel) ; Haydn Symphonie no. 89 en fa majeur.
Grand Concert de Gensac Sunday 5 August : After the concert, you are invited to meet the musicians during a convivial cocktail reception in the gardens.
