I never really need an excuse to take time to visit Bordeaux, but this week, it's on my to do list as the Christmas Market opens in the Allees du Tourney.
Turning the place into a Christmas wonderland with Father Christmas at one end with his Christmas tree market and the Carousel all lit up and turning at the other end. Not particularly a place for a bargain, but plenty of inspiration for gifts. Last year they had a stall selling Vodka and Caviar from the Gironde.
If you can't get there this weekend, there's a plethora of Christmas markets scattered around the region. See below.
