Week 30 2015

Hello!

A fun day at the waterfront in Castillon for Bastille Day.  I had never seen the Barrel Rolling Team from Lussac St Emilion before.

Despite the heat of the day they were up and down the Quai showcasing their skills.  I even learnt how to take video on my phone...

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions have a lovely time.

25 - 26 July : La Plage at Castillon (under the stone bridge) is holding a Grand Costume Ball on the theme of the Era between the Two Wars - L'epoque entre deux guerres.  Dress up in the outfits of the times and join in the entertainment, see the postcards and dance at the Ball.

26 July : Brocante at Eymet

26 July : Every Sunday lunchtime in July and August.  Soumensac marche Gourmande. Buy your lunch from local producers of duck, Chicken, snails, bread, puds, melon ice creams and of course wine!   Take your own cutlery, crockery and cushions to make the benches more comfortable!

26 July : Fete Cantonal in Villefranche de Lonchat. Plenty for all the family. Fireworks and a free Ball. I think the Barrel Rollers will be here... now they're everywhere!



















26 July 12 noon : Dine on Entrecôte at the Parc de la Gare in Lamothe Montravel.
