Hello!
You may have seen the chrysanthemums in all the nurseries. 1st November is La Toussaint (All Saints Day) which is one of France’s public holidays. It’s a day when the French remember their families and will travel to put flowers on the graves of their loved ones. Not any old flower, tradition dictates chrysanthemums.
La Toussaint falls on a Sunday this year and many families
will gather together for a family meal. It
generally falls during the school holidays too. Finally, don’t forget to check
your local shops as many will be closed.
Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne
regions, have a good time.
Best wishes,
Helen
