The sunny days stay with us. This is how I remember the summers!
The beautiful Chateau Pitray hosted a lovely Portes Ouvertes this weekend. A very elegant chateau perched on the side of the Cotes de Castillon. Shady trees, roast pork and local wines welcomed the ramblers, the bikers and wine enthusiasts alike.
If you missed it this year, put it in the diary for next year!

Sunday 4th Sept
saw the annual Ryder Cup match of Wine Grower members v The Rest of
the World take place at St Meard de Gurcon Golf Club
By way of a change the ROTW players won Played as a pairs scramble over 2 rounds of 9 holes the event was followed by a great gathering at the grounds of a nearby Wine Chateau where we all enjoyed a fine BBQ together with a selection of very fine wines from some of the many wine grower members finishing in the small hours of the morning a great time had been had by all

by their hard work developed what is becoming a very fine testing 9
hole golf course admired by many young and old experienced or novice
players
