Hello!

Gensac braves the rain

Weeks of dry weather and then a very rainy Sunday – good for the garden, but less enthusiastically welcomed by those visiting the Brocante at Gensac on Sunday.  There were plenty of stall holders and collectables to found through the sea of umbrellas.

Morning glory

This week brings a wide range of musical events to the region.  There are a number of Jazz concerts and the Gironde Chamber Orchestra is performing in the churches in the area.

Wednesday 8 August

8 August 10h – 18h :  Journee Portes Ouvertes at the Vitrine du Pays Foyen (the building next to the Grand Pineuilh Leclerc) . The chance to taste local wines and produce and demonstrations by local craftsmen and women.  Free entry.

8 August : Night market in Blasimon

This bitter sweet comedy follows protagonist Robbie as he sneaks into the maternity hospital to visit his young girlfriend Leonie and hold his newborn son Luke for the first time.
