Hello!
As we sat by the river the other night the skies were lit
up by the lights from the Battle of Castillon.
We have got used to hearing the music floating over the river, but this
time we had a light show too.
It has been a weekend of music as on Tuesday we went to
see Jazz French Touch in Concert. It was
a tribute to Duke Ellington. Perhaps the
only thing missing was a glass of wine or two…
Temperatures are forecast to shoot up this week, so find
a spot in the shade for the day and plan your evenings, there’s lots to do in
the Gironde and Dordogne area.
Have a good week,
Best wishes,
Helen

15 August : I received this - so keep a look out if it's near you
Hi - Useless info - I have had an English family staying on a bit of my land for the last couple of days - lovely couple and their teenage daughter. UK to Spain in a gypsy caravan drawn by a horse called Maggie!
They set out from Le Harvre early June and are intending to cross the
Pyrenees into Spain where they will be renting a farm for a couple of
years.
They left St. Seurin de Prats this morning and are heading south following
the Meridian line / Compostela Pilgrim route as much a possible..... I think
they will pass near Listerac de Dureze, St.Ferme and Monsegur in the next day or
so. Any welcomes would be welcomed!
Amazing!
Best wishes
Jenny

And finally…
Just thought I’d show off my tomato harvest!
The tomatoes look great. Have just started picking ours. We also have beans but the lambs keep putting their heads through the fence to eat them so it is snacks only.

Lamb and beans go well together :-)
ReplyDeleteThey do indeed. My 6 year old who grow the beans thinks so too.:)
ReplyDeleteI must come over and check out the progress of 'my' lambs very soon. Especially as they seem to be having such a a nice diet :-)
