Hello!
Flaujagues, before it all went dark! |
What a lovely week out and about. The Flaujagues night market was great fun, and congratulations to the committee for finally getting the electricity going again, not that that stopped play at all!
The market at the middle of Ste Foy on Sunday was lovely, the setting was great and there were plenty of interesting stalls.
Ste Foy Brocante |
Castillon is going to prove difficult for drivers over the coming weeks, so if you want to find the shortcuts follow the link Avoiding the roadworks in Castillon
There are still night markets in the area to keep us out of the kitchen!
Thank you for your continuing support and have a good week,
Best wishes,
Helen

And finally...
Following popular demand, the recipe for mini-macaroons is:
Mix 100g of powdered almonds with 100g of powdered sugar with 1 egg white and 1 dash of almond essence.
Mix to a paste and then mould teaspoons of the mixture into balls, put them onto teflon paper, top with a slice of almond and bake in the oven at 190C for 10 - 12 minutes. Watch they don't burn, then cool before you remove from the paper. You can increase the quantities by 100g with every extra egg white. Enjoy...
