Adding a little sparkle...

Hello!

The clock changing seems to have signalled a change in the weather too – but that didn’t deter us getting out and about and going to the St Martin vide grenier at Flaujagues.  The stall holders in the sunshine were even taking their gloves off by midday.  I love the eclectic mix of old and new that I see on the stalls.

From 24 October - 20 January 2012 The Pompidou comes from Paris to Libourne. It is the first travelling museum in the world and it can be found at the site of the old Police School in Libourne, 15 place du Maréchal Joffre.  Just on the big roundabout with the Bandstand in the middle.  It is free to visit 10h – 20h at weekends and Bank holidays. 26 October – 9 November : Exhibition at The Salle Cascante in Castillon.  Josette Barraud has an exhibition of abstract oils and watercolours.  Marie-Simone Costeseque is also displaying her pottery.  Open daily 15h – 18h30.  Closed Sunday.

Ce soir là, il sera impossible de visiter l'exposition car une soirée spéciale - et gratuite - est organisée 

- témoignage exceptionnel d'une ancienne des services secrets britanniques (S.O.E). Le témoignage débutera à 20h30, horaire à partir duquel il sera difficile d'entrer dans la salle : comme vous le comprendrez, je ne tiens pas à ce que pendant son témoignage, notre témoin soit dérangée par des allers et venues.

- diaporama musical de 20 minutes environ du voyage de vos enfants en Normandie en juin 2012. Attention : ce diaporama ne sera projeté qu'au cours de la nocturne et à aucun autre moment. (Durant le reste de l'exposition, d'autres projections sont prévues)

Thursday 1 November – Jour ferie - Toussaint

1 – 4 November : Foire de la Toussaint on the banks of the Garonne at La Reole. Hi everyone,
I am running 2 children's workshops over the holidays. The first will be Thursday morning, 1st November, 10 - 12, the second will be the week after, Tuesday 6th November, 10 - 12.
