Arts & crafts in the elegant setting of the cloisters, St Emilion

Hello!

What a lovely weekend.  Sunday morning took us to Saint Emilion to the Exhibitions of Artisans d’Art et Potiers.  There were beautiful works of art throughout all the elegant old buildings in the town.

I can’t think of a better way to spend an Sunday afternoon that with friends listening to jazz.  We went over to Monsegur where we sat out in the Halles listening to so many talented Jazz musicians.  There were 2 pianists on the same piano – so clever.  A non-stop day of Jazz and Swing, with people dancing and  having a great time.

The grape harvests are going on all around and if you’d like to take part, visit your local Tourist Office and they should be able to point you in the direction of a chateau.

Tuesday 2 October

2 October 20h15 : Dark Horse is showing in VO at the Grandecran in Libourne.

Romance blooms between two thirty-somethings in arrested development: an avid toy collector who is the dark horse of his family and a depressed woman on the rebound.  Starring Jordan Gelber, Salma Blair and Christopher Walken.

6 October 10h30 – 16h30 : Harvest days in Cotes de Bourg. 

Along with the Pays de la haute Gironde, share a convivial moment with a wine-grower of the territory of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the estuary of Gironde. Cut the grapes by yourself and carry the basket as the viticulturists do. Next, your viticulturist will lead you in the wine store-house for the continuation of the visit. You will taste his wine and eat a quick-lunch with him.
