Week 30 2023

 Hello!

This week brings The Gironde Chambre Orchestre to Gensac.  In its 36th year, once again the Orchestre plays music in the little churches in the area.  Find the programme here

 

You should call ahead to book your place at the concerts, and don't forget you can always sit in on the rehearsals.  

There really is plenty going on in the Gironde and Dordgne regions, we are thankful that it's not too hot, and I've even seen rain these past few days.

Week 29 2023

 Hello!

The fireworks in Castillon didn't disappoint! We had a great view from La Plage.

Hope you managed to find some 14 July fireworks near you.  It's the village festivities all around, so you should find some somewhere.

It's also the opening weekend for the Battle of Castillon.  If you haven't been yet, then why not?  It's a great evening out.  I never cease to be amazed that little Castillon has such a big event.

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time.

Still being plagued by mosquitoes?  Here's an indoor solution...

A dribble of essential oils onto a heart or flower, hung on the bedpost will diffuse into the air and keep those mosquitoes away.  It's also a skin frindly essentail oil, so I always massage it into my skin before heading out in the evening.  Find it at the boutique at Arts Typiques in Sauveterre.
