They were up fixing something on the roof of the church in Sauvetere and took a photo of the square, and it reminded me of a photo I found a few years ago, taken from almost the same spot.

 

 I love looking at old photos of places I know.

I made a pottery wheel from an old sewing machine!  No electricity needed, just pedal power.

Week 39 2025

 Hello!

This weekend on Sunday it's the 8th Rencontre des Savoir-Faire in Sauveterre de Guyenne

 

It's a great day out, over 30 artisans will be hosting stands with demonstrations and explanations of the tips and techniques of their work, including, weavers, spinners, a potter with a wheel with a difference (no clues - it's me!), basket weaving, leatherwork, paper art, wood turning and not forgetting conferences, live music, entertainment, magic and juggling.

And if you're hungry, there are food truck, crepes, cakes and ice-cream, beers and wines.  A great day out for all - venez nombreux!
