Week 23 2013

Hello!

The Bandas in Pineuilh this weekend was great fun!  There was a great atmosphere in the big top as the Bandas competed with each other to entertain the crowds. Our ears were still ringing when we got back home again.  For me, the Bandas is best represented by the little video clip at the top!  It always makes me smile :)

The sun has finally got his hat on and with that, lots of opportunities to be out and about in the Gironde and Dordogne regions.  It seems like next weekend is Vide Grenier weekend.  Choose one, put your haggling head on and see what bargains you can find.

Friday 7 June

7 June 14h15 : The Great Gatsby is showing in 3D and VO at the Grandecran in Libourne.

An adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Long Island-set novel, where Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Soon enough, however, Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby's nouveau riche existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await.  Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joel Edgerton, Tabey Maguire.

7 June 19h : Association Les cygnes de Vie are holding the Repas Des Villages at Place Boyer-Andrivet in Castillon.  Take along a dish to share and and make friends whilst you eat.
