Week 38 2014

Hello!

Next weekend is the Journees and Nuit du Patrimoine (Heritage days and nights) where monuments throughout France are open to the public for free, and there is always a magnificent music and firework show in St Emilion.  Make your way to the centre of the village and you will have a treat of a free display starting at around 22h.

Planning for the Macmillan/Bergonie Hospital Coffee morning on 27 September in Cancadoual (Mouliets et Villamartin) is continuing, though I had a moment ‘lost in translation’ when I went to my Mairie to borrow an urn for hot water.  It’s true, urn in French is urne, but it doesn’t boil water, it’s what you put your tickets in for a tombola!  So, the search for an urn continues… any suggestions gratefully received.

Have a great week, long may the sun continue in the Gironde and the Dordogne.

27 September 10h - 13h
Best wishes,
Helen
