Week 10 2016

Hello!

Rumour has it, that whilst we’ve been away the cranes flying overhead have been travelling in both directions!  Is the winter drawing to a close or not?

Whichever it is, there were a whole flock of them circling above our house yesterday.  They often seem to gather, circling above us.  Are they waiting for the stragglers to catch up, is there some kind of magnificent thermal that comes from the river, or is the river a navigation point?  I don’t know, but the noise it enough to cause me to go outside and try and catch it on video… I did say try…

Whichever way they are flying, the large flocks of cranes always remind me that the seasons are changing.  Is spring around the corner?

Whatever you do this week, have a lovely time in the Gironde and Dordogne regions.
Best wishes,
Helen
