There's a lot to be said for a brief escape!  So last week took us away to Rioja in Spain where good friends introduced us to the delights of the local wines!

We even managed to sit out in the evening sun for a aperitif!

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a lovely time.

7 - 31 March : An art exhibition ' Mars Urban 2017' at the Mediateque de Branne.  Vernissage 23 March at 18h.  All welcome

Wednesday 8 March

8 March 19h25 :  Full Metal Jacket is showing in VO at the Grandecran in Libourne.
A two-segment look at the effect of the military mindset and war itself on Vietnam era Marines. The first half follows a group of recruits in boot camp under the command of the punishing Gunnery Sergeant Hartman. The second half shows one of those recruits, Joker, covering the war as a correspondent for Stars and Stripes, focusing on the Tet offensive. Starring Matthew Modine, R. Lee Ermey and Vincent D'Onofrio
