Week 23 2020

Hello!

After the calm, a storm!  And what a storm we had on Monday evening. Wind, rain, hail and more wind, and then... a huge tree down.

The emergency services were soon on sight, it helps that our neighbour is a fireman and the Enedis team were there within 20 minutes ... on a jour ferie no less.  A huge thank you to them, they attacked the tree and we had electricity again just before midnight.

Now the legal wrangling begins... does a tree growing in the bank of a stream that borders our property legally belong to us?  The same stream that we weren't allowed to reinforce because it didn't belong to us.

As France opens up and we can get out and about, enjoy your freedom, support your local businesses and keep safe.

Best wishes,
Helen

Hello everyone,

A quick word to let you know that I am opening the Glass House from this Thursday the 4th of June. To start, I will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from midday to 9pm as usual.

To make sure we respect the host of hygiene rules and regulations ( which by the way, I still haven't received but we'll use our common sense), it would be very useful if you could let me know in advance if you plan to come and visit. Especially as it looks like it's going to rain at the end of the week and the garden, which will be plenty big enough to keep everyone at a safe distance, might be a bit damp.

I'm so long looking forward to seeing you all again - it has been far too long.

If you would like a private workshop with a group of friends, I'm mobile and could come to you.  No age limit... creativity is without limits!
