Week 26 2021

Hello!

So, is this the Mouton Ivre?

There were 5 sheep that surrendered their fleeces to the festival.  They will be cleaned and spun and knitted into beautiful garments by the talented team that made the festival happen.

We were blessed with beautiful weather on the Saturday, but what a difference a day made... Sunday was a day of rain!  Many thanks to all who came by, it was lovely to see you and to meet some new faces. Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement... you know who you are!

The yarn bowls were a great hit.  I still have a few available to buy at the Maison des Artisans in Sauveterre, they're €25 each.

Whatever you do in the Gironde and the Dordogne regions over the next week, keep safe and well and enjoy the sunshine.

Best wishes,
Helen

And finally...

The Maison des Artisans in Sauveterre de Guyenne is proud and delighted to announce our Ateliers Vacances.

Running through July and August, the 3 studios in the building are offering a range of holiday workshops.

Each workshop lasts either 1 or 2 hours and can take a group of up to 4 people. There are pottery workshops with me, textile workshops with Dorothea and Calabash workshops with Amelie.

The menu of activities is varied and is suitable for all ages, especially good for family groups as everyone works to their own ability, but equally fun for a group of friends.

If you have family and friends coming to visit and you're looking for something a little different, look no further...

These are great flyers to send to visitors in gites and B&B.  You should be able to copy the flyers off the blog, and if you would like the pdf or the actual flyers in paper form, let me know and I'll get some to you.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like more information, or If you'd like to book a session. 06 30 89 85 36.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

Week 25 2021

Hello!

I've been up to my elbows in clay these past few weeks making yarn bowls!

This weekend, Gensac celebrates the Marche du Mouton Ivre.  It's all about the wool... and they invited me to set up a stand amongst them and sell my yarn bowls.

Here they are in varying stages of the making, you'll have to come along this weekend to see how they turned out!  I'll also have other ceramics items for sale, including the ever popular plant markers.

Come by and say Hello. Dorothea who runs the wool and textile workshops at the Maison des Artisans in Sauveterre will also be there.  She's running a felting workshop. So if you have ever wanted to try your hand at felting, this is your chance.

Take care and continue to be vigilent, get out and about and enjoy the Gironde and Dordogne regions.

Best wishes,
Helen
