Hello!

Spring is just around the corner. In 2022, the spring equinox happens on Sunday, March 20. This event marks the astronomical first day of spring around the Northern Hemisphere at exactly the same time. To find out more about the equinox and its connection with spring, visit this page

What I love, is the flowers that push up through the cold earth, adding colour to the garden.  This year we have a carpet of tiny purple anemones across the lawn, more than ever before. What always delights me is this one little plant with its bright red flowers.  It is a solitary plant, away from the others, and it never spreads. I have no idea what it is, if you recognize it, please let me know.

Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, keep safe, enjoy the spring colours and have a good week.
Best wishes,
Helen

Week 7 2022

Hello!

Can spring be around the corner?  There have been plenty of people reporting the cranes flying over head, heading back north to their summer homes.

The garden too, is slowly waking up, splashes of colour peeping out through the undergrowth.

It's always a challenge to find activities and events at this time of year, so, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have news of an event and I shall include it in the weekly newsletter.

Many thanks for all your continued contributions and support.

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, keep well and safe and have a good week.

Best wishes,
Helen
