Week 33 2025

 Hello!

My goodness it's hot out there...

The Connection

So, stay cool, keep those windows and shutters closed against the heat and don't try getting up to too much in the afternoons.  The heat plays havoc with clay, it dries almost in front of my eyes.

Whatever you do this week, in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have fun and enjoy yourselves.  There's a bank holiday on Friday - L'Assomption.  So there's a possibility that businesses may 'Faire le Pont' (that's if any of them are actually open...)
Best wishes,
Helen

Week 15 2024

 Hello!

This is one of the most beautiful years for wisteria, it seems that wherever I go, I'm greeted by billowing clouds of purple loveliness.

It's the school holidays this week and next, so there's plenty of family friendly activities out there.

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne, keep your eyes open for the wisteria and have a great week.

Best wishes,
Helen

Week 14 2023

 Hello!

Easter is creeping up and the funfair is in town in Castillon (and I hope my favourite nougart stand!)

It stretches from the stone bridge and goes all the way up to the train station! The centre of the village is taken over with rides and sideshows.

If funfairs are your thing, then it's the place to be at Easter.

Whatever you'd like to do over the Easter weekend, the sun should be shining, so have a great time.
Best wishes,
Helen

And finally...

If you are looking for some pottery activities for all the family, there's two holiday activities.

On Saturday 15th, make a little tulip tealight holder in a 1 hour session.

Throughout the school holidays, come and make an Easter themed mug, with spring time decorations. This is perfect for all the family to make a mug each in 1 and a half hours.

Contact me if you'd like to participate - 06 30 89 85 36
