Week 33 2024

 Hello!

It's your last chance this weekend to see the Battle of Castillon. We saw it last week, and it doesn't disappoint.

Take the time to visit the artisan village and watch the pre-show performances. (There's wine tasting too!)

Whatever you do this week in the Gironde and Dordogne regions, have a great time,
Best wishes,
Helen

Eden Cinema, Monsegur

15 August

Assumption Day, or Assomption in France, is the day in Roman Catholic tradition when Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, was taken bodily up into heaven.

It is celebrated on 15 August each year and is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics in France. It is also a public holiday with banks and most businesses closed.

However, there are plenty of other things to be doing on this day.

Week 16 2024

 Hello!

Last week it was the wisteria, this week the roses have arrived and their scent is heavenly.

Perfect school holiday weather is set for the weekend, and it's the brocante in Rauzan, worth it for a couple of hours browsing, you might even find that hidden gem.

Whatever you do in the Gironde and Dordogne regions this week, have a great time.

Best wishes,
Helen

Contact me if you'd like to get creative with clay.  These were made by grandmother and granddaughter combos.

The clay changes from grey to white in the kiln.  I never stop being enchanted by the clay.
