Week 38 2025

 Hello,

This weekend is the 42nd Journées Européennes du Patrimoine where many of France's old buildings open their doors to the public.  St Emilion has embraced the event and has a whole host of visits and tours lined up. Find more about it here

 

It seems now that you can't get into many of their monuments for free, but there will be fireworks on Saturday night.  However, if you'd like to find out what else is on for the event you can go to https://journeesdupatrimoine.culture.gouv.fr/

Coming up...

And finally...

We are getting ready for our annual festival in Sauveterre.  Each year we invite artists and artisans from the region to take part in the Rencontre de Savoir-Faire. These craftspeople bring along the tools of their trades and share their skills for all to see.  Many will even let you have a go.

We have a full programme of events, there's something for everyone, live music, food trucks, ice-cream, games for all ages, conferences, displays and hands-on experiences. 

If all goes well, I'll even have a different take on a potters wheel for you to try! 

Week 37 & 38 2024

 Hello!

The wine harvest is underway - they're starting with the sparkling wines.  It's been an interesting year, saved in the end (maybe) by the long dry spell.  Let's wait and see.

Nevertheless, take care on the roads, these tractors are hauling a valuable cargo!

Running a little late to publish this week, so here's a bumper 2 week edition.  (Honestly Emily in Paris cannot be blamed!)
